Century for Ritchie
TALENTED Mortlake all-rounder Oscar Ritchie notched up a century for the Cats against Merrivale in division three last weekend.

The talented teen piled on 106 runs from 93 deliveries in an innings that included an impressive 16 boundaries and one six.
Opening alongside team captain Will Ruddle (who was bowled for six), Ritchie impressed with the bat, causing havoc for Merrivale’s bowlers with his precision.
Having earlier won the toss and elected to bat, the Tigers managed 9/197 in their 40 overs, with Ruddle proving effective at the crease taking 3/24 off eight.
Luka Krizmancic finished the day with the impressive figures of 2/6 off his over, while other wickets fell for Ryan Tanner (1/17), Elijah Bradbury (1/11), Jack Milligan-Manby (1/22) and Ritchie (1/46).
Other contributors to the scoreboard for the Cats included Jordan Wareham (34 off 47 deliveries, with four boundaries) and Ryan Tanner (23 from 31 balls).
The division three Cats finished the day on 9/188, just nine runs short of victory, and will now face the Northern Raiders at Purnim this weekend.
In other matches for the Cats last weekend, the division one Premiership side made 10/165 last Saturday against Dennington and will resume this weekend with the Bulldogs at 0/26.
In division one Championship, Mortlake 9/192 defeated Nirranda Titans 10/108 in their one-day match.
While in the women’s competition, Mortlake 10/102 lost to North Warrnambool 4/168 (with the Cats’ Annabelle Glossop the highest scorer, unbeaten on 62).
