Championship title for Buck and Wines
KEN Buck and Pam Wines have taken out the HIBBA Drawn Pairs championship.

The pair, from Laang-Ecklin, recently defeated Glenormiston’s Max Heard and Deb Cheslett in the final.
For the drawn championships, clubs are asked to sort available players into groups of skippers and non-skippers and then draw names out of a hat.
This method is used to eliminate the possibility of ‘stacked sides’ playing others who aren’t as experienced.
This, for the most part, results in some interesting matchups and a more even competition.
There were six teams this year in the championship and it was played at Timboon Lawn.
Glenormiston and Laang-Ecklin had the first byes.
In the quarter finals, Cobden (Gerrit Bekker and Doreen Coverdale) played Timboon Lawn (Tyler Mungean and Pam Dwyer).

Cobden def. Timboon Lawn 15-13.
In the other quarter finals match, Scotts Creek (Allen Armistead (sub) and Neville Robb) played Camperdown (Norma Weller and Gary Body).
Scotts Creek kept Camperdown scoreless in the first four ends, but Camperdown managed to close the gap to four shots half way through.
Scotts Creek got to 11 on end 10 and didn’t score for the remainder of the game, with Camperdown mounting a late-game comeback.
Scotts Creek def. Camperdown 11-9.

In the semi-finals, Glenormiston (Deb Cheslett and Max Heard) played Cobden and despite Cobden getting off to a good start, Glenormiston levelled the score at four all after six ends.
The match went back and forward, with scores level again at nine all with three ends to go.
Glenormiston def. Cobden 15-10.
In the other semi-final match, Scotts Creek played Laang-Ecklin (Ken Buck (sub) and Pam Wines).
