Chookas: Local talent prepares for Freaky Friday
A CONTINGENT of thespians from across the district will raise the curtains on their musical rendition of a classic film.
Audiences are in for a crazy, adventurous ride as Camperdown Theatre Company presents ‘Freaky Friday the Musical’ at the Theatre Royal.
Set to open next Friday, April 26, the show follows Ellie and her mother Katherine, on the freakiest day of their lives as they magically swap bodies.
Based on the beloved Disney films and novel by Mary Rodgers, ‘Freaky Friday the Musical’ is sure to delight and surprise, with an energetic score performed by local cast and musicians.
Freaky Friday director Jen Rowan said she is excited to showcase the local talent involved.
“Our production of ‘Freaky Friday the Musical’ is a testament to the passion, dedication, and amazing talent within our south west community,” she said.
“Our talented cast, band and crew have poured their hearts and souls into this production, promising an unforgettable and magical experience.

Freaky Friday the Musical will play at the Theatre Royal on April 26, 27 and May 2, 3, 4 at 7.30pm, with a 1pm matinee on the 4th.

Admission is $30 for adults, $25 student/concession, $20 child (15 and under) and $90 family (Two adults, two children).
