Christmas trees raise funds
HOMES across Cobden have a special tree this Christmas.

HOMES across Cobden have a special tree this Christmas.
Volunteers from Progressing Cobden who partnered with the Cobden Men’s Shed to make and sell recycled pallet Christmas trees, sold 68 trees.
The tree sales raised more than $1200 for the Cobden Men’s Shed.
Progressing Cobden member Kathryn Stubbings said “we are absolutely blown away with the number of trees purchased”.
“As you walk or drive around Cobden you can see many of the trees in people’s gardens,” she said.
“Some locals have even designed their tree to match their home which is a real joy to see.
“Being involved in this project has certainly brought a smile to our faces this Christmas.”
The Cobden Men’s Shed are currently in the process of raising funds to add an extension to their existing workshop in a bid to allow more members to work at one time.
