THE Camperdown and Holy Apostles Anglican church will be holding its church fair next Saturday, with a celebration also being added to the day.

The Anglican Church fair will also mark 10 years since the formation of the South West Brick Club, a community club run by the church.

The church fair is a collaboration between the centres in Camperdown, Terang, Cobden and Timboon.

Camperdown and Holy Apostles Rector Reverend Matthew Jones said the fair would involve a variety of activities for all ages.

“There’ll be cake stalls, plant stalls, book stalls, bric-a-brac stalls, a barbeque, and a morning tea,” he said.

“We’ll probably have some music going in the church; we’ll probably have the pipe organ if people want to play or hear it being played.

“There’s going to be a huge, big Lego brick club celebration in the hall, and children can all create things; they can actually make things with the Lego.

“There’ll be a big birthday cake and all that sort of stuff to celebrate their 10th birthday.”

Stalls will be located on the lawn of St Paul’s Church, with additional stalls inside the hall.

Reverend Jones said there would be a raffle with prizes, some of which may make good gifts.

“Because it’s fairly close to Christmas we thought people might like to come in and have a wander around and they might buy some plants,” he said.

“It’s a way that we connect with the whole community because the churches have an important role to play in the community.

“This way we can meet people, have a chat to them, get to know people, and see how we can support other projects that are on across all the towns.”

The fair will start around 9.30am on Saturday, October 28, at St Paul’s church and gardens in Camperdown.
