COBDENHEALTH residents took a special trip down memory lane on Monday.

Members of the Warrnambool and District Historical Vehicle Club took residents for a drive in a variety of vintage cars including a Holden FJ and Ford Falcon.

Club president Bryan O’Meara said members were pleased to be able to offer the visit for residents.

He said the club completes a number of tours with aged care services like Cobdenhealth.

Mr O’Meara said the scenic drive included a visit to Lake Bullen Merri and botanic gardens in Camperdown.

“The members have been looking forward to the day,” he said.

“It’s a way of giving back to the community.”

Cobdenhealth leisure and lifestyle co-ordinator Sue Loving thanked the group for their visit.

“The residents were very excited,” she said.

“They have been waiting for this day for awhile.

“We’re having an afternoon tea when they get back.”
