Close round of table tennis
ROUND four of the Terang table tennis competition was the most even round of the season, with two 6-5 results.
Ghanda defeated I Don’t Care. Winning both doubles gave Ghanda the edge, along with Callum McSween winning all his doubles.
Ron Cook contributed the other winning rubber while late fill-in player Tyler Smith won two singles -as did Michael Pearson (with Shai Karney winning a singles).
Rhino’s defeated Battlers, with sub Colin Venn and Vesha Chapagai winning two singles and a doubles.
The other win came from Bibek Shahi who played his first match and defeated Kim Anderson 6-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-6 and 13-11.
Mark Smith won all his singles and a doubles, while Peter Maina won a singles.
