Club boat captain Andrew Vogels said a short course racing event was also held in Port Campbell on Saturday to coincide with the surf boat launch.
“We had 12 crews in male and female events on the day,”he said.
“The highlight of the day was the launch of the new Beach Energy surf boat.
“It has been named after Jon McLeod, a life member of the surf club.
“He has been competing and officiating on behalf of Port Campbell Surf Life Saving Club since 1986.”
Mr Vogels thanked Beach Energy for its ongoing support of the club.

Mr Vogels said there was a four round robin event followed by an all women’s event.
“Port Campbell men’s crew won the male round robin,” he said.
“Fairhaven women’s team won the women’s round robin.
“The all females race was won by Port Campbell.”
