Clue hits Corangamite
THE Camperdown Theatre Company (CTC) will be bringing a popular board game to life on stage as part of the directing debut of a company actress.

Madidi McKenzie will be directing the CTC’s performance of Clue On Stage next month, which she said will be “exciting” for her.
“I’m very excited to be directing in a company which has started it all,” she said.
“It’s my seventh production with CTC, and it just feels like a full circle moment to be finally directing – trying the other side of musical theatre instead of being on stage.
“Following in my older siblings’ footsteps – it’s been really special, and it’s been loads of fun.
“I’ve got a good show and good cast, so it’s added to how exciting it is.”
Clue On Stage is a murder mystery/comedy featuring Cluedo characters such as Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, and Professor Plum.
Ms McKenzie said rehearsals have been going “good”.
“We’ve been rehearsing since end of February – we’ve had sets being built, costumes being created and lots of lines being learned,” she said.
“We’ve been rehearsing two times a week.
“Come along and see it.
“It’s very affordable in these challenging times.
“It’s good quality theatre in Camperdown, which is good.”
Clue On Stage will run at the Theatre Royal (2 Bath Street) on Friday, May 2; Saturday, May 3; Thursday, May 8; Friday, May 9; and Saturday, May 10 – all shows will begin at 7pm, with a 1pm matinee on the final day.
Tickets are $25 per person - with attendees advised to bring their own nibbles – and are available at Laffs (163 Manifold Street), by phone on 5593 1469 or online at www.camperdowntheatrecompany.com.au/current-show.
Drinks will be available at bar prices.
