Cobden Art Show hailed a success
RECORDS fell as the Cobden Art Show drew hundreds of visitors over the weekend.
Some of the region’s most talented artists put their works on display as the Cobden Uniting Church came to life for the return of the popular event.
Artworks featured a wide range of styles, mediums and textures, and also included an incredible artistic display from the Cobden Kindergarten.
Cobden UC Art Group member Marilyn Kimber said the collective could not have been happier with the success of this year’s event.
“What a bumper weekend the Cobden Uniting Church Art Group had,” she said.
“With nearly 300 visitors and record art sales, the art group were delighted with how the show was supported by the local and not so local people.
“The added bonus to this bi-annual Art Show was the inclusion of artworks by the Cobden Kindergarten kids.
“The whole show was a wonderful social outing for the visitors who also enjoyed a scrumptious morning or afternoon tea.”
