DID you spot an elf in Cobden on Saturday? You were not alone if you did.

Cobden’s Chistmas in Curdie drew a crowd of eager families hunting for elves, while taking in a bargain or two ahead of Christmas.

Cobden’s business and economic development consultant Laura Hultgren said feedback had been positive about the event.

“Lots of people contributed to the colourful community artwork and gratitude wall,” she said.

“The kids looked like they were having a ball looking for elves, getting their faces painted and making badges.

“The overwhelming majority of businesses and stall holders were happy with how the day went and the feedback I’ve received from people who attended has been really positive too so overall it was a very successful day.”

Ms Hultgren thanked those involved in the day.

“On behalf of the businesses and stall holders I would like to say thank you to everyone who came along and showed their support,” she said.

This project received grant funding from Corangamite Shire Council, the Australian Government in partnership with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and South West Community Foundation.

Ms Hultgren said the winner of the $50 Mastercard gift card was Jo Clarke from Cobden.
