Cobden golfers perform
SEVENTEEN players competed at the Cobden golf course last Wednesday, which was also the first round of the Betty Rix match play.
Sherine Healey def Eve Boyd 2-1, Chloe Healey def Deb Ferrari 3-2, Carmel Darcy def Jeannine White 2up, Janine Stevens def Di McKenzie 3-1, Judy Myers def Sandra Mason 3-1, Marie Smith def Kate Parlour 6-5 and Jo Hintum def Julie Simmonds on the 18th.
Pat Tickner won the 14-hole stableford competition with 27 points.
Nearest the pins: A grade – 4th Janine Stevens; B grade – 4th and 10th Carmel Darcy; C grade – 4th Jo Hintum, 10th Ev Boyd; 7th Julie Simmonds, nearest second shot to the 8th (B grade) Carmel Darcy.
