From face paint and crazy hair to show bags and kids’ rides, this year’s Cobden Primary School Fete will have it all.

FROM face paint and crazy hair to show bags and kids’ rides, this year’s Cobden Primary School Fete will have it all.

On Sunday young and old alike will be able to enjoy the festivities at the school.

Cobden Primary School parent council member Fiona Hanks said following on from the successful school fete in 2017, the decision had been made to hold another one this year.

“This is the Cobden Primary School’s major fundraiser for the year,” she said.

“We hope that this fete will be an event for the wider community to attend along with promoting Cobden Primary School to the area.

“There will be something for everyone at the 2019 fete.”

On the list of things to see and do is;

  • Handmade preservatives;

  • Fresh flowers and produce;

  • Local music artists performing;

  • Variety of market stalls;

  • Cobden Primary cake and slice stall;

  • Face painting and crazy hair;

  • Side show amusements for $1 each including mini golf, lolly roulette, bean bag toss and a cricket bowling competition;

  • Woodwork, tie-dye t-shirts and fairyland activities;

  • Spinning wheel; and

  • A variety of rides available with a wristband or single ticket.

Hungry fete goers will be well catered for with a wide range of food options including baked potatoes, a barbecue and snow cones.

Mrs Hanks encouraged the wider community to attend the fundraising event.

“We thank the local businesses that have supported the day with donations of a variety of products and spinning wheel prizes,” she said.

The fete will be held at the school grounds between 11am and 3pm.
