Cobden students excel
TALENTED athletes Riley Beames and Rhys Sargood have performed well at the recent School Sport Victoria state track and field championships.
Cobden Technical School students Riley Beames and Rhys Sargood have performed well at the recent School Sport Victoria athletics state championships.
The Cobden Technical School students finished strong in their respective events, held in Melbourne on Monday, October 20.
Not only did they represent their school, but also Hampden division and the Greater Western Region.
Riley competed in the under 16 boys’ 800 metre race, finishing in a commendable fifth place and setting a new Cobden Tech school record.
Rhys also ran well, finishing seventh in the under 15 boys’ 200 metre race.
Well done to both students on their outstanding effort and achievement in competing at the state level.
