Cobden women to meet in semi
IN the final round of the South West women's competition, Cobden Gold had an 83 run win over Camperdown at Camperdown number two, while Cobden Blue had a 26-run loss to Nirranda at Ecklin.
Ingrid Bellman, Kelsey Fratantaro and Zoe Buck all reached the 30 run retirement mark as Cobden Gold posted 2/153 batting first against Camperdown.
The Lakers replied with 5/70, with wickets going to Taliyah Bishop, Phoebe Harris and Akeisha Bishop.
Cobden Blue posted 6/95 batting first in their match against Nirranda, with Anna Dixon making 27 from 54 balls, and Jessica Walsh scoring 25 from 21 balls.
Nirranda replied with 5/121 from their 20 overs, with Sally Merrett taking 2/12 and Gabrielle Bellman 2/16.
Gold finished the season in second place, with Blue finishing third.
The two Cobden teams will meet tonight in a semi final clash at the Cobden Community Bank Recreation Reserve, the winner to go through to the grand final against the winner of the Bookaar v Ecklin semi final.
