Cobrico Hall to host community day
COMMUNITY members are invited to gather at the Cobrico Hall this Sunday, September 14 in honour of R U OK? Day.
From 10.30am-1.30pm the hall will be open to all for morning tea and a barbeque lunch, allowing friends and family to join together and chat.
Cobrico Hall committee member Joanne Heard said the free event was put together thanks to a grant from Corangamite Shire.
“People can expect a gathering for community, family and friends to come and just chat,” she said.
“We will be offering sausages in bread, fruit, coffee, tea, milo and crumpets and jam.
“This is a chance for the community to get together and talk together.
“Corangamite Shire has very generously given us a grant to cover the food for the day.
“We’d love to see everyone for a chat, a catch up, a sausage and to play some games.”
R U OK? is a national suicide prevention charity encouraging people on R U OK? Day to ask their mates if they’re doing alright and to help one another through hard times.
While R U OK? Day provides an opportunity to open meaningful conversations, R U OK? encourages people to have these conversations on any day.
