Composite course at Mortlake

EIGHTEEN players contested a composite course, par 70 event at the Mortlake Golf Club last weekend.

Saturday’s stableford event was won by Richard van Diemen (14) 3 points.

The runner-up was Rob Field (11) 35 points on countback from Hamish Weatherly (3) 35.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Dougal Ranken, 6/15 Rob Field and 9/18 Hamish Weatherly.

Balls down the line went to Hamish Weatherly, Dougal Ranken, Tony McLennan and Kevin Etherton.

Last Friday’s nine-hole twilight attracted 20 players.

This was won by Bruce Twaddle 15-45-30 followed by Peter Palmer 7-38-31.

Third place went to Steve Hubbard on 10-43-33.

Nearest the pin on the 9th was Kevin Etherton.

Next week’s event will be stableford multiplication (select own partner).
