Constable bags 14 in big win for Dees
LISMORE/Derrinallum senior footballers celebrated their fifth consecutive win last Saturday, defeating Moyston Willaura by 120 points.

A 10 goal to none first quarter was the catalyst for the Demon’s 26.11.167 to 7.5.47 win at the Willaura Recreation Reserve.
“That first quarter was as good a quarter as we’ve played all year,” Lismore/Derrinallum coach Alec Wiltshire said.
“It was a heavy ground and quite taxing so it was important to get that start.”
Demons' spearhead Lachie Constable bagged 14 goals in a standout performance.
“Lachie scored most of his goals from marks, he was hard to beat whether one on one or with lead up marks.
“He’s deceptively strong and quick for his size.”
Constable’s haul takes him to 99 goals for the season, with one home and away game to play.
“He actually had a shot late in the game for his 100th from 55 metres out that Austin Humphrey marked on the line,” Wiltshire said.
“Will be nice for him to get there at home this week if he can.”
Apart from Constable, Henry Walsh, Blake Scott and Zack Mongelli were best for Lismore/Derrinallum.
“Henry rucked tirelessly for four quarters, while Blake’s run and carry was scintillating.
“Zack’s role has changed in the last four weeks going to half back, he’s as courageous as they come, goes back with the flight of the ball and took a heap of intercept marks on Saturday.”
The Demons announced during the week that several stars, including Henry Walsh, Austin Humphrey, Josh Sanders, Lachie Constable, Will Langley and Jack McCallum had signed on for the 2026 season.
“It’s fantastic the boys want to stay, they’ve built great connections with each other, we look forward to seeing what they can achieve as a group both this year and into the future.”
This week Lismore/Derrinallum host SMW Rovers at Lismore in the final round.
“Rovers had a big win over the Ararat Eagles so we definitely can’t afford to take them lightly.
“There’s plenty to play for this week.”

Ryan Jeffrey bagged 11 goals and was the Demons’ best.
