Cook wins at Cobden
B. COOK showed good form on the Cobden greens last weekend to take out the A grade competition.
Cook finished on nett 69, winning on countback from J. Walker 69.
B grade was won by J. Stevens nett 71 from A. Gardner nett 72.
Thirty-three players contested the monthly medal (stroke) and putting competition on Saturday.
Balls down the line went to W. Gibson, S. Dawson, C. Horan, S. Mason and F. Bosch.
Nearest the pins: 4th F. Bosch, 7th A. Stevens, 10th C. Horan, closest second on the 2nd J. Mason and closest second on the 14th J. Walker.
The monthly medal was won by B. Cook nett 69 while the putting went to D. Absalom with 27 putts.
Next week will be privilege pot (stableford).
Twenty players competed in Cobden’s monthly medal last Wednesday, April 2.
The A grade winner was Carmel Darcy, 72 on countback from runner-up Janine Stevens 72.
B grade was won by Ev Boyd nett 69, who also won the April monthly medal.
The B grade runner-up was Pat Tickner on 73.
Di McKenzie finished with 27 putts to win the putting competition.
Nearest the pins: A grade – 4th Carmel Darcy, 10th Sandra Mason; B grade – 4th and 10th Jeannine White; C grade – 4th Netty Hose, 10th Kate Parlour; gents – 4th Alex Holster.
Nearest the pin on the 7th was Deb Ferrari and second shot on the 8th was Chloe Healey (A grade) and Jo Hintum (C grade).
Balls down the line went to Netty Hose, 74.
