Council addresses Park Lane concerns
CONCERNED residents have called for Corangamite Shire Council to maintain the nature strip beside the newly-installed Park Lane footpath.
Slope issues: Residents are calling for more maintenance along the Park Lane footpath which was recently installed.
Western District Newspapers received three letters to the editor calling for action to be taken, with concerns residents were unable to mow the nature strip due to the slope of the land.
Corangamite Shire Council manager assets planning John Kelly said council was aware of the feedback regarding the path.
“Mulch has been placed along some locations which were altered to make provision for the new path,” he said.

“Council will undertake ongoing maintenance of these areas.
“Council will also monitor these areas to determine whether further treatments are required.
“The final sections of the path are expected to be completed over the coming months.”
