Countback needed

A COUNTBACK was needed to decide the winner of Wednesday’s stableford competition at Camperdown Golf Club.

After two players finished on 33 points, the countback was called – with Deb Narik (24) declared the winner and Donna Conheady (14) the runner-up.

Balls down the line went to Terri Sinnott, Doreen Horan and Jenny Hillman.

Donna also claimed the only two nearest the pins, on the second and ninth holes.

Next week will be another stableford round.

The Camperdown women’s division two WDGA pennant team made an excellent start to their season with a five-nil win over Warrnambool 2.

D. Conheady won 5-4, T. Baker won 6-5, Gabby Gill won 7-6, J. Hillman won 2-1 and D. Narik won 6-5.

Next Monday they will play Cobden at Peterborough.
