Crossing to be relocated
RELOCATION works for the school crossing on Brooke St, Camperdown started last week.

RELOCATION works for the school crossing on Brooke St, Camperdown started last week.
Corangamite Shire Council director of works and services Brooke Love said the relocation of the school crossing was identified by the Camperdown College primary campus to provide better
connectivity between the school grounds and the activity hub.
“Works include the removal of the old crossing and the installation of new signs and line marking,” she said.
“The project is being jointly funded by Camperdown College and council.
“The crossing will be completed before school starts again however the linemarking has been unable to be completed in this weather.
“The old crossing will remain in operation until such time the new crossing is fully completed and functional.”
Once operational, there will be changes in the traffic signs locations and line marking after the school crossing has been relocated.
Drivers on Barkly St and Henderson St will be given advance notice of a school crossing ahead of their turn onto Brooke St.
