Cup win for Timboon

TIMBOON golfers competed in the Bob Case Premix Concrete Cup against Camperdown last Saturday.


The stableford competition attracted some good results on the course.

Timboon’s Cody Noonan (13) took out first place on 41 points, followed by Camperdown’s Luke Clarke on 38.

Third place went to Camperdown’s Stephen Douglas on 37, with Timboon’s Wes Hollick fourth on 37.

The overall winner of the cup was Timboon Golf Club with 29 players and a total points score of 883, with an average score of 30.448.

Camperdown had 15 players with 437 total points and an average of 29.133.

Nearest the pins: 5th and 7th Alistair Gillin, 10th Jamie Norton and 14th Steven Crees.

Chris Harkness won a ball for his second shot to the 11th hole.

Thursday’s chicken day was won by Bill Finlayson with 25 points from Gordon Broderick with 23.

Nearest the pin was Tori Ziegelaar and the swindle was shared by Bill and Gordon.

Next Saturday will be the Bill Neal Memorial Cup and monthly medal stroke.

Thirteen eager players participated in a monthly medal stroke event at the Timboon Golf Club last Wednesday.

The medal was won by Judy Delaney with a nett score of 100/74.

Her son Shaun was the daily winner with a score of 86/69.

Shaun collected the nearest the pin balls on both the seventh and 10th greens and Judy collected the ball on the 13th.

Next Wednesday is a par event.
