Cuppa and a chat goes a long way
COBDEN and district locals turned out for a good cause last week, enjoying a cuppa and a chat.
The annual fundraiser held at Thommo’s this year, saw more than $2500 raised.
COBDEN and district locals turned out for a good cause last week, enjoying a cuppa and a chat.
The annual Cobden Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser was held at Thommo’s Hotel this year and raised more than $2500.
Event co-organiser Jenny Bongers said the day was “wonderful”.
“We had about 70 people who attended,” she said.
“It was just fantastic. We also sold more than 40 trays of food to businesses."
“A lot of old NAB customers were there which was lovely.”
Mrs Bongers thanked the wider community for its support of the event.
Funds raised support Cancer Council Victoria’s cancer research, prevention programs and support services for anyone in Victoria affected by cancer.
About 70 people attended Cobden’s Biggest Morning Tea event last week.
