TERANG Mortlake footballer Sophie Curran has finished fourth in the WVFFL vote count.

Western Victoria Female Football League held its senior women’s and under 18 women’s best and fairest vote count via Facebook last Friday night.

Fifteen-year-old Curran said she was thrilled to finish the season with eight votes in the under 18 competition.

Portland’s Jessica Rentsch won the award with 17 votes, closely followed by Paige Glover of Horsham with 16 and third-placed Maggie Johnstone (South Warrnambool) on 14 votes.

“I was really happy to finish where I did,” Curran said.

“I’m usually an on-baller or in the ruck depending who we’re against. I’ve now played two seasons with Terang Mortlake and am loving it.”

Curran’s Terang Mortlake team-mates Annabelle Glossop, Leah Dickson and Sophie Conheady also polled well.

Glossop finished in 10th with five votes.

Both Dickson and Conheady recorded two votes.
