Congratulations: Cobden CWA members Sue Gass, Jennifer Kripp, Lorraine Oates, Doreen Sullivan and Margaret Hinkley (not pictured) had their long-term commitment to the branch recognised recently.

FIVE members of the Cobden Country Women’s Association (CWA) have had their long-term commitment to the CWA commemorated.

At a recent meeting, Cobden CWA president Nettie Hose presented certificates, badges and bouquets of flowers to the members who had served at the Cobden branch for more than 30 years.

Presentations were made to:
• Doreen Sullivan – 73 years;
• Lorraine Oates – 62 years;
• Sue Gass – 56 years;
• Margaret Hinkley – 53 years; and
• Jennifer Kripp – 33 years.

All ladies have served in official positions in the branch in their years of involvement.

Cobden CWA will again be running its popular annual Christmas stall in Curdie Street, Cobden on December 15.

All baked Christmas cakes and biscuits will be made with Western Star butter thanks to a donation from Fonterra Australia.
