Cyclists compete for Harold Lamb trophy
CAMPERDOWN Cycling Club members have celebrated Harold Lamb race week.

Harold spent many years building the club and spending time with local riders.
He was awarded the British Empire award for his involvement in the Camperdown community, which included the cycling club.
He built a replica of the first ever bicycle, with is now on display for all to enjoy.
In 2000 he was awarded life membership of the Camperdown Cycling Club and Harold’s family has always been a wonderful supporter of the club since Harold’s passing.
His daughter Joy takes time out of her calendar each year to represent the family and present the winning trophy.
Riders were again blessed with beautiful weather last Thursday night.
Unfortunately times were not recorded for this race.
The winner of the event was Finny, followed closely by Josh, with Oliver in third from the scratch position.
They were followed by Finn, Quinn, Zane, Nathaniel, Lawson, Ava, Thea, Rieley and Henry (after a chain malfunction).
Again, a huge shout out to all parents who helped get these races up and running.
In the seniors race there was nine starters – Ava, Thea, Zane, Matt C, Finn, Oliver, Shaun, Tanya and Josh.
The limit group held the lead for the majority of the race before it was abandoned due to livestock running rogue down Chocolyn Road.
For safety reasons riders waited until the road was cleared and then cruised back to the finish line.
There are two more races for the season.
