Dairy awards
THE Great South West Dairy Awards are returning for the 16th time in 2024.
These awards are hosted every second year to recognise and celebrate the achievements, dedication, and hard work of those in the dairy industry in south west Victoria.
To be considered for an award, candidates must first be nominated.
Seven award categories are now open for nominations:
Dairy Farm Business Management Award;
Young Dairy Leader Award;
Service Provider Award;
Natural Resource and Sustainability Management Award;
Employee Award;
Western Victorian Dairy Industry Honour Board (recognition award); and
Farm Photo Award.
One of the highlights of the awards is the Western Victorian Dairy Industry Honour Board induction.
This recognition award is for individuals who have made outstanding and enduring contributions to the dairy industry within the WestVic Dairy region.
Criteria encompass a wide spectrum of dedication, leadership, and mentorship.
Both farmers and industry service providers are welcome to either apply themselves, nominate someone else, or encourage deserving candidates to apply. Nomination forms and information about the award criteria are available online at www.westvicdairy.com.au.
Nominations close 5pm Friday, March 1.
Send completed nomination forms and queries to awards@westvicdairy.com.au
Each awards year, winners are announced at The Awards Gala evening.
This year’s Awards Gala evening is set to take place on Wednesday, May 15, in Warrnambool.
Tickets for this event will be available for purchase closer to the date.
