Day marks 50th Ellen Rayner Bowl
SIXTEEN teams competed for the 50th and final Ellen Rayner Bowl at the Timboon Golf Club last Friday.
Family members of Ellen Rayner were on hand to see the presentation of the bowl to the winners. Ellen’s daughter, Lorelle Saunders, presented the trophy (a beautiful silver bowl) to the winning team from Warrnambool, Julie Hobbs, Mary Timms, Leanne Bowman and Andrea Bridgwater who finished on 126 points.
The runners-up, on 120 points, were Terang players Jenny Meade, Judy Delaney, Aileen Clarke and Karen Mather.
Past players and family members joined the golfers during a luncheon at the end of play.
