THE thrill and excitement of making their Debutante Ball was experienced by 50 Camperdown College students as they were presented to the community recently.
Acting senior campus assistant principal Sue Maskell said the event, held on Friday, August 19, was a “wonderful celebration of the students involved”.
“Making your Deb is such a special occasion and we are so proud of all the students for the efforts they went to for the event,” she said.
“The Debs learnt many new skills including four dances and how to carry themselves in a formal manner as they were presented to a crowd of family, friends and staff in the AG Daws Hall which was set as a night garden theme with sparkling lights and greenery.
“Dance trainer Sarah Ellington worked with the students during four weeks of training to master dances including the Merrilyn, Evening Three Step, Merengue and Theatrical…all performed wonderfully on the night.”
The Debutantes were joined on the night by junior campus students; Flower Girl Reagan Webb and Page Boy Blake O’Leary.
