Definitely drier than last year
RAINFALL in the regions was significantly lower than the previous year for the month of October.

Camperdown experienced 59.3mm of rainfall for October, which is close to half of last year’s total of 188.5mm.
The figure is also lower than the long-term October average of 69.3mm.
The highest daily rainfall was experienced on October 13, where 6mm hit the ground.
Camperdown had experienced 609.4mm of rainfall for 2023 through October.
Meanwhile, Lismore had 51.8mm of rainfall in the month of October.
The figure was lower than last year’s total of 204.4mm and the long-term average of 63.5mm.
October 31 saw 8.6mm of rainfall hitting the ground in Lismore, the highest daily rainfall for the month.
The 2023 rainfall total for Lismore sat at 424.2mm.
Derrinallum also experienced a low level of rainfall for October, with 60.6mm hitting the ground.
The figure is less than half of last year’s total of 195.8mm but is only slightly lower than the long-term average of 65.8mm.
A total of 17mmm of rainfall was recorded on October 31, which was the highest daily rainfall for the month.
