Demons appoint senior netball coaches
TIMBOON Demons have re-appointed Carley Hickey and Bethany Hallyburton as senior netball coaches for next season.
TIMBOON Demons have re-appointed Carley Hickey and Bethany Hallyburton as senior netball coaches for next season.
After a successful 2022, the pair will take on A grade coaching duties once again and both are looking forward to what the new season will bring.
As co-coaches this season, they led the Demons to a creditable fifth place on the Warrnambool District ladder at the completion of the home and away season.
The team went on to defeat South Rovers 50-46 in the qualifying final and lost to Panmure 30-52 in the first semi-final.
Hickey and Hallyburton said they were thrilled with the team’s results this year and are hoping to once again make finals in 2023.
“We set ourselves some goals along the way and managed to tick them off as the season progressed,” they said.
“We feel like we have laid some good foundations this year and will build on that next season. We have a really good culture at the club and we’re excited to be re-appointed.”
Now enjoying some well-deserved time away from the courts, the Demons will look at holding a pre-Christmas get-together sometime in late November/early December with the aim to start pre-season training towards the end of January.
