Demons celebrate season
TIMBOON Demons’ top players and volunteers for 2022 have been recognised at the club’s annual vote count and presentation events.

TIMBOON Demons’ top players and volunteers for 2022 have been recognised at the club’s annual vote count and presentation events.
The club celebrated the end of season with two presentation events – a junior presentation day on Sunday, September 11 and a senior presentation night last Friday evening.
The Andrew Blake Memorial Award for Young Achiever was won by Katherine Fox for the second consecutive year.
Katherine has been a volunteer football trainer for the past two years and is regarded an “outstanding example” of someone who embodies the positive values of the club.
The Matthew Delaney Memorial Award for Club Person went to Kathryn McPhee who this season coached the Demons’ under 13 netball side and was also integral in the smooth running of the club’s netball department.
“After the past two difficult and challenging years it was great to get back to doing what we love, and despite the pandemic still being with us, we managed to get through to the end of season 2022,” club secretary Donna Ellis said.
“Many thanks to all our amazing volunteers and sponsors. Many hands make light work so I encourage everyone to start thinking about how they can get involved in 2023.”
Senior vote count award recipients were as follows:
Senior football – best and fairest Jordan Fowler, runner-up Ash Hunt, most determined Sam Negrello, most improved Charlie Trotter, leading goal kicker Sam Negrello and Jordan Fowler and coaches awards went to all under 18s who played seniors/reserves this season.
Reserves football – best and fairest Lachlan Rosolin, runner-up Benjamin Mitchell, most consistent Clint Watson, most determined Josh Drysdale, most improved Dillon Stokie, leading goal kicker Lachlan Rosolin and coaches award Daniel Shanahan.
A grade netball – best and fairest Hollie Castledine, runner-up and coaches award Macy Gale, most improved and best in finals Tessa Poot, most determined Danica Clough.
A reserve netball – best and fairest Maya Steere and Kyla Groves, runner-up Nikki Clover, most improved Abbey Benson, best team mate Izzy Moorhead.
B grade netball – best and fairest Nicole Burvill, runner-up Tara Anderson and Caprice Baillie, most determined Sarah Woods, coach’s award Isabella Finney.
The junior presentation award winners were as follows:
Under 18 football – best and fairest Mitchell Wallace, runner-up, leading goal kicker and best in finals Isaac Bedggood, most consistent Taj Field, most determined Henry Stansfield, most improved
Luke Gale, coaches award Bailey Delaney.
Under 17 netball – best and fairest Kyla Groves, runner-up Nikki Clover, coaches award Lara Brown, most consistent Olivia Whiting.
Under 15 football – best and fairest Rylee Parsons, runner-up Jarrod Ferguson, most consistent Tommy Illingworth, most determined Jasper Makin, most improved Robbie Morden, leading goal
kicker Jarrod Ferguson, coaches award Lachlan Douglas, best in finals Rory Roberts.
Under 15 netball – best and fairest Holly Delaney, runner-up Evie Gordon, coaches award Ruby Jones, most improved Taya Hanegraaf.
Under 13 netball – best and fairest Stella Smith, runner-up Indi Bickell and Willow Roberts, coaches award Matilda Douglas, most improved Darcie Hutchins.
