Demons fade in second half
A SECOND half fade out saw Timboon’s senior footballers go down to Panmure by nine points in their round 14 match last weekend.

After leading by 17 points at half-time, the Demons could only manage one goal and two behinds in the second half in the 9.7.61 to 8.4.52 loss.
Lachlan Rosolin was best for the Demons and snagged two goals, with key forward Josh Worboys booting four goals.
Alongside Rosolin, Ben Newey, Jack McGlade, Lyndon Alsop, captain Ash Hunt and Brad Gillingham were in Timboon’s best.
Timboon remains sixth on the ladder, behind fifth placed Old Collegians on percentage only.
In a must win game this week, Timboon hosts Kolora-Noorat at the Timboon Recreation Reserve.
Timboon had a thumping 15.10.100 to 1.2.8 win in the reserves football.
Eben White bagged 10 goals for the second consecutive game, with Richard Couch kicking three.
Couch, Campbell McKenzie and White were the Demon’s best.
Timboon had the bye in the under 18 football.
In the under 15 football, Timboon registered an 11.0.66 to 2.4.16 win.
In the under 13s, Timboon had an 8.10.58 to 1.2.8 win.
Darcy Delaney, Lachlan Drayton and Leo Makin were best for the junior Demons, with William Spokes and Jed Watson kicking three goals each.
In the A grade netball, Timboon scored a strong 58-34 win to keep a slight hold on fifth spot.
“It was an important win,” Timboon goal shooter Laura Rosolin said.
“It’s tight between fifth, sixth and seventh, we’ll need to win at least two of our last four to make the top five.”
Rosolin had an enormous game, shooting a career best 54 goals and is second in the competition for goals scored with 433.
The goal shooter was modest, attributing her tally to the help of her teammates.
“Nina Barlow and Holly Delaney were brilliant, feeding the ball down, along with (coach) Danica Clough, who filled in as goal attack and played a third feeder role.
“My role was to convert the goals from their work.”
Rosolin also praised goal defence Beth Hallyburton and goal keeper Holly Kordupel for their work.
“Without their defending work, intercepts and pressure I don’t score those goals.”
The Demons spearhead feels her team is poised for a strong end of season tilt.
“It feels like we are coming together well as a team.
“We have several new players this year, we are gelling well and think we can do some damage if we can consolidate that fifth position.”
A big game against Kolora-Noorat is ahead this week for the Demons.
“They’re equal on points with us so it’s a must win.”
Timboon had a 39-25 win in the A reserve netball.
