A WIN over Woorndoo Mortlake in last Saturday’s Mininera League qualifying final has earnt Lismore Derrinallum’s reserve footballers a semi-final berth this weekend.

The Demons showed strong form all over the ground at Tatyoon last Saturday to defeat the Tigers by 24-points, 12.6.78 to 8.6.54.

The Demons led from the first bounce and never looked back, heading into the main break with a handy 23-point and then piling on a further six goals in the second half to take the win on the siren.

Johno Benallack, Lachlan Bryant, Robert Jamieson and Riley Browne were named among the best for the Demons while Browne kicked three goals for the day, Steven Fisher added two and Matthew Bacon, Benalack, Lachlan Nelson and Jack Sanders each contributed a goal.

In the elimination final at Lake Bolac on Sunday, the Demons’ 18 and unders won their way through to a semi-final berth after defeating Hawkesdale Macarthur 29-22.

Best for the Demons were Stella Horspole and Jessica Miller.

The club’s B and C grade teams’ finals campaign came to an end on the weekend.

B grade was defeated by Tatyoon, 27-25 while in C grade Lismore Derrinallum was defeated by Woorndoo Mortlake, 22-26.

Best for the Demons were Jaala Perkins and Leah Holt.

Sunday August 27 at Derrinallum:

Netball

12 noon, 18 and under – Lismore Derrinallum v Penshurst.
