LISMORE Derrinallum will host Ararat for the final round of the Mininera and District home and away season.

The Demons, sitting ninth with four wins on the board, will be looking to finish their season with a win over the sixth-placed Eagles.

Last weekend’s home clash against Glenthompson Dunkeld proved another tough day out, going down by 48 points, 11.11.77 to 4.5.29.

The Rams stamped their authority on the game early, kicking 3.4 in the opening quarter while leaving the Demons scoreless.

The second term was a similar affair, with the visitors adding another three majors while keeping the Demons to just nine points.

The Rams extended their lead in the third before steaming home in the final term, adding four goals on the board while restricting the Demons to one major.

Liam Rigby, Dale Marquand, James Halloran, Steven Ryan, Harry Taylor and Josh Sanders were named among the best for Lismore Derrinallum while Lachie Constable and Henry Walsh were in the goal kickers for the day.

Lismore Derrinallum’s reserves are looking forward to playing finals footy, going into this weekend in third position on the ladder, on equal points but percentage above SMW Rovers in fourth.

Last weekend’s percentage booster saw the Demons take the points with a solid 93-point win over the Rams, 15.18.108 to 2.3.15.

Bradley Ward, Sebastian Smith, Johno Benallack, Lachlan Bryant, Riley Brown and Patrick Boag were named among the best for the Demons.

Ryan Jeffrey was strong in front of goals, kicking five for the day, while Riley Browne added four and Steven Fisher and Bradley Ward contributed two each.

The Demons’ netballers had a successful day on the courts, winning four of the six games played.

A grade – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Glenthompson Dunkeld 44-31. Best: Toni De Grandi and Paris Murray.

B grade – Glenthompson Dunkeld defeated Lismore Derrinallum 42-32. Best: Ingrid Withall and Lauren McLennan.

C grade – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Glenthompson Dunkeld 24-15. Best: Hannah Walker and Leah Holt.

18 and under – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Glenthompson Dunkeld 48-10.

15 and under – Lismore Derrinallum defeated Glenthompson Dunkeld 28-12.

13 and under – Lismore Derrinallum lost to Glenthompson Dunkeld 5-38.
