Demons ready for finals
LISMORE Derrinallum will be well represented at the 2025 Mininera League finals series, with three football and two netball sides qualifying.

After a successful home and away season, the Demons are eager to soak up the finals atmosphere, which will start with the qualifying and elimination rounds this weekend.
“Our five teams have worked tirelessly to cement their positions on their respective ladders,” Lismore Derrinallum Football Netball Club secretary Darcie Seers said.
“The seniors and reserves football sides have put in the work during the year, both on game day and at trainings, to make sure they reach the highest standard possible.
“And this hard work has paid off, with both teams finishing on top of their respective ladders; giving them the minor premiers title and a week off for the first round of finals.”
The Demons’ under 16.5 footballers have also worked hard for a spot in the finals, finishing sixth.

They will now take on Tatyoon in the elimination final at Penshurst this Sunday.
While this will be a challenging game, it is one the club is confident the side can win.
The Demons’ B grade netballers will also play an elimination final on Sunday, taking on Great Western.
“The girls have worked hard to create a great team culture, putting in the work both at training and on game day,” Darcie said.
“This has shown in their games and no doubt will again in the elimination final.”
The club’s under 18 netballers have had another strong season, finishing third on the ladder after recording some strong results.
They will face Penshurst in the qualifying final at Great Western on Saturday.
“The girls are excited to show off their talent and the growth they have made during the year,” Darcie said.
“We hope to see a big sea of navy and red at all venues across the finals series.”
