TIMBOON had a mixed bag of results on the weekend, with the Demons netballers bringing home the four points while the football side lost by 116 points to Kolora-Noorat.
The Demons fell behind to the Power footballers early in the match, going into the first break down by 22 points.
Timboon had its most productive period in the second quarter, kicking 3.3, but was still outpaced by the Power, who put on 5.5 to lead at half-time 9.9 (63) to 4.3 (27), and Kolora-Noorat’s 13 goals to one in the second half put the game to bed.
Ash Hunt kicked two for his side and was named best on ground for Timboon, while Kyle Delaney, Adam Doak and Sam Negrello also added single goals.
The loss leaves Timboon in 10th on the ladder and winless after eight games, a situation the Demons will be keen to rectify when they face fellow strugglers Allansford this weekend.
The Demons netballers have had few wins but plenty of close losses this year, but finally saw some reward for their efforts when they celebrated their second victory of the season with a 53-27 win over the Power.
Timboon hasn’t had a win on the netball court since round two when it defeated Russells Creek by two goals, but have has a draw and four losses by 10 goals or less.
The Demons now find themselves in sixth on the ladder, six points behind Dennington in fifth spot and equal on points with Allansford in seventh, who they face this week.
