Division one pennant win for Timboon
TIMBOON golfers performed well to take out the division one pennant at Port Fairy last month.
In other news, Todd Brunt won the A grade monthly medal at the Timboon Golf Club last Saturday.
Members played a stroke round for the monthly medals.
Brunt finished on nett 70 to win, ahead of Cody Noonan on 73 and Peter Cashmore 74.
The B grade monthly medal winner was Rohan Johns with nett 64 from Peter Simmons 72 and Gordon Broderick 78.
Nearest the pins: 5th Gavin Rundle, 7th Scott Carter, 10th Chris Huffadine and 14th Rodney Edge.
Richard Stone won a ball for his second shot to the 11th.
Thursday’s Railway View Chicken Day was won by Tori Ziegelaar with 28 points from Gordon Broderick with 25.
Next Saturday will be stableford.
Ten players contested the monthly medal/stroke event on May 28.
The winner was Steph Delaney 102/76 from runner-up Vera Convey 96/78.
Balls down the line went to Lynne Newton while nearest the pin on the 14th was Rodney Edge.
The Nutrien ball went to Steph Delaney.
