Division three Lakers defeat Woorndoo
CAMPERDOWN’S division three team registered their second win of the season on Saturday, defeating Woorndoo at the Camperdown number two oval.

The visitors batted first, posting 5/227 from their 40 overs.
Skipper Daniel Missen led the Camperdwon bowlers with 2/30 from eight overs, with Jamie Barry, Ross McIlveen and Beau Smith taking a wicket each.
The Lakers’ run chase was anchored by opener Darren Payne, who made a match high 77 from 91 balls, hitting 11 boundaries.
A hard hitting 54 from 50 balls to Jamie Barry accelerated Camperdown’s innings, Barry dismissed with 21 runs still required.
Barry’s innings included eight fours and two sixes.
Junior players Beau Smith (17 not out from 15 balls) and Maddison Fisher (one not out) got the home team over the line in the 36th over.
The next game for the division three Lakers is on January 31.
Camperdown’s premier team are back in action tomorrow, lining up against Heytesbury-Princetown at Timboon.
On Monday night, the under 13 Lakers had a 43 run win over Boorcan at Boorcan.
Batting first, Camperdown made 5/90 from their 24 overs.
Beau Smith top scored with 21 retired, with Finn Gellie scoring nine and Eddie Gellie eight.
In reply Boorcan were restricted to 7/47, with Beau Smith, Maddison Fisher, Daisy Courtney, Chris Cronly, Finn Gellie and Harry Fisher taking a wicket each.
The next game for the junior Lakers is on February 2, while Camperdown’s women resume on Wednesday night with a home game against Cobden.
