Don’t miss working dogs in action
VISITORS to this year’s Sheepvention will once again have the opportunity to see some of the state’s finest working dogs in action.

The 2026 CopRice Victorian Farm Dog Championship will no doubt attract some of Victoria’s best dogs, providing spectators with non-stop action in the yards.
Entries are now open in both the Open and Novice sections but will close on Friday, July 22.
The championship will comprise of the top 25 scores from the Open, with a six-dog final.
Novice dogs can also be entered into the Open division.
The novice competition will run on day one (Saturday, August 1), with the Open scheduled for Sunday and the championship on Monday (August 3).
The novice category will be judged by Darren Jenke while Kate Jubb will judge both the Open and championship.
Bitches cannot compete if they are in season.
