Donation will make a difference
TIMBOON Opportunity Shop (TOPS) continues to support local groups.

TIMBOON Opportunity Shop (TOPS) continues to support local groups.
TOPS co-ordinator Brenda Parfett provided the Port Campbell Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) with a donation for $2900 recently.
“We’re pleased to be able to make the donation to the Port Campbell CERT,” she said.
“I think it was good that they approached us for support, we don’t know what groups need in the community until we’re asked.
“There was no hesitation from the committee to make the donation. The joy was that we had the finances to do it.”
Mrs Parfett said she was proud of the impact TOPS had on the community.
“For the size of Timboon it’s amazing to see what we can donate back to the community,” she said.
“We’ve just donated $12,000 to the community.
“Thank you to the community for its ongoing support.”
Timboon Ambulance officer Andrew Berry said the funding was appreciated.
“On behalf of Port Campbell CERT and Ambulance Victoria, I’d like to give a big thanks to TOPS for making the funds available,” he said.
“It’s (the funds) not only going to make things better for the volunteers, but the community as well in regards to best care.
“A big thank you to the community for supporting TOPS. It’s great to be able to have an organisation like that within our community that are able to supply funds that are needed.”
