MARGIE Driscoll and Elaine Hrabar won last Thursday’s Doris Chambers Foursomes event, earning a ticket to represent Terang Golf Club at the state final later in the year.

MARGIE Driscoll and Elaine Hrabar won last Thursday’s Doris Chambers Foursomes event, earning a ticket to represent Terang Golf Club at the state final later in the year.
Driscoll and Hrabar, who will travel to Sanctuary Lake Golf Club for the final, scored 36 points in their stableford round, a nose in front of runners-up Gary Marr and Billy Wood on 35 points.
Nearest the pin was Peter Hrabar on both the 17th and 18th holes.
Today’s event is the second round of the Silver Spoon in stableford format for the monthly medal.
Last Saturday’s stroke event saw Wayne Reicha (13) shoot a net 71 to narrowly defeat Riley Scanlon and claim the monthly medal.
Scanlon (5) 72 was runner-up on a count back ahead of Tony Meade (31) 72 and Chris Coolahan (16) 73.
Nearest the pins were Wayne Reicha (third hole), Michael Heffernan (sixth hole) and Paddy O’Connor (11th hole).
Billy Wood took the putting with 24, while Damien Glennen won the club ball.
This Saturday’s event will be a stableford round.
