Driscoll wins Medal of Medalists

MARGIE Driscoll has won the Medal of Medalists at Terang Golf Club.

Last Thursday saw Margie awarded the title with a score of 96-23-73.

The 18-hole women’s competition was stroke and putting.

The winner of the stroke competition was Maureen Bond with 103-32-70 on a countback from Karen Mather 103-33-70.

The men’s winner was Peter Hrabar on 92-20-72, with Michael Heffernan the runner-up on 97-23-74.

Marion Venn won the putting with 28 putts.

Balls down the line went to Margie Driscoll 73, Cate Glennon 74 and Elaine Hrabar 74.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Jenny Meade, 9th from off the green Aileen Clarke and 11th Chris Coolahan.

The winner of the nine-hole competition was Aileen Clarke 36 nett.

In conjunction with Thursday’s 9am for 9.30am competitions, the club will be running an 18-hole stableford competition on Thursday afternoon’s during daylight savings.

Entry fee is $10 and bookings can be made on MiScore or https://terang.1golf.com.

A twilight nine-hole competition will be run on Fridays from 2.30pm.

This competition is also open to non-handicap players.

Handicap players enter on https://terang.1golf.com or MiScore.

For none-handicap players, details will be at the clubhouse prior to playing – entry fee will be $5 for members and $10 for visitors.

Players under 12 will be free but must play with an adult.

Competition for today, Thursday October 10, will be stroke.
