Eagles dominate the Swans
CARAMUT’S senior footballers were outclassed by a soaring Ararat side at Alexandra Oval last weekend, going down 19.16.130 to 0.3.3.
The unbeaten Eagles burst out of the blocks with a 6.8.44 to one behind opening quarter to set the tone for a dirty day for the Swans.
Mark Lehmann, Jarvis Bermingham and Nathan Murphy were best for Caramut.
This week Caramut travel to Penshurst to take on the reigning premiers in what will be another tough match.
The reserves match was similarly one sided, with the Eagles winning 13.16.94 to 0.1.1.
Jack Gordon, Joe Douglas and Tyson Comfort were best for the Swans reserves.
There was no under 16.5 game with the Eagles not fielding a team in that competition in 2025.
Ararat took out the A grade netball 45-26.
Goal attack Maddie Calvert scored seven goals and was best for the Swans, while teenager Yolie O'Sullivan scored 15 goals.
The B grade netball went Ararat's way 39-29.
Nada McCarroll was best for the Swans, with Chloe Anderson scoring 18 goals.
Caramut got the win in the C grade netball, 32-29.
Hannah Delaney was the Swans’ best, while goal attack Rachel Hassett scored a match high 20 goals.
Ararat had a big 51-13 win in the 18 and under netball, Emilie Tonissen best for the Swans.
Caramut had a strong win in the 15 and under game, 26-4.
Wing defence Hannah Parkinson was best for the Swans, with Yolie O'Sullivan and Ruby Russell scoring eight goals each.
Caramut had a big 36-6 win in the 13 and under netball.
Alex Lehmann scored 17 goals and Ruby Russell 11, with Tessa Young best for the junior Swans.
