Eagles too strong for Bloods
COMING off a big win over Portland the previous week, Terang Mortlake’s senior footballers struggled against an in-form North Warrnambool last Saturday.

Round four of the Hampden League proved a challenging one for the Bloods, who travelled to Bushfield to take on the Eagles.
The opening quarter saw the home side get off to a flying start, kicking 5.2 to the Blood’s single behind.
By half-time the Eagles had a commanding 42-point lead which they extended to 51 points by three-quarter time.
On the final siren the scores were North Warrnambool 16.11.107 to Terang Mortlake 7.8.50.
Best for the Bloods were Samual McLean, Dylan Jones, Darcy Hutchins, Xavier Moloney, Xavier Vickers and Ryley Hutchins.
Matty Arundell, Tom Arundell, Rhys Buck, Ryley Hutchins, McLean, Moloney and Ben Reid each contributed a goal to the board.
In the reserves match earlier in the day, the Bloods also found the going tough, with the Eagles enjoying a 78-point win, 13.10.88 to 1.4.10.
Todd Robertson was the side’s only goal scorer while Thomas Henderson, Toby Taylor, Jack Lehmann, Josef O’Sullivan, Chris Crawley and Adam Williams were named among the best.
Netball:
Open – North Warrnambool defeated Terang Mortlake 70-52. Best: Eboni Knights, Ava Grundy and Jacqui Arundell.
Division one – Terang Mortlake defeated North Warrnambool 49-32. Best: Jessica Davis, Ellen-Rose Lee and Claudia Lee.
Division two – North Warrnambool defeated Terang Mortlake 36-28. Best: Lizzie Justin, Debbie Worland and Sophie Conheady.
Division three – North Warrnambool defeated Terang Mortlake 35-29. Best: Tess McKenzie, Ava Nolan and Harriet Place.
17 and under – North Warrnambool defeated Terang Mortlake 40-37. Best: Pippa Barr, Jessica Bell and Milli Coolahan.
15 and under – North Warrnambool defeated Terang Mortlake 32-30. Best: Lyla Grundy, Madelyn Clark and Ava Conheady.
15 and under reserves – Terang Mortlake defeated North Warrnambool 18-17. Best: Lily Guthrie, Sommer Jones and Lucia Clarke.
13 and under – North Warrnambool defeated Terang Mortlake 34-11.
13 and under reserves – North Warrnambool defeated Terang Mortlake 18-10. Best: Annabelle Blackford, Tilly Harrison and Matilda Conheady.
After this weekend’s Hampden League bye round, Terang Mortlake will host Port Fairy at Mortlake’s Wilsons DC Farran Oval on Saturday, May 11.
