Early start for golfers in heat

EXTREME heat last Saturday saw an earlier start for Mortlake golfers.

The stableford event began before 9.30am and was won by Glen Birnie (11) 41 points with Aaron Davies (27) 34 points the runner-up.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Jak Fowler and 9/18 Jesse Fowler.

Jesse Fowler was a new member on the course.

Last Friday's nine hole twilight was won by Ken Murley 22-57-35 from Peter Palmer 5-41-36.

Nearest the pin on the 9th was Peter Palmer.

Next week's event will be par.
