Easter fun for everyone
CAMPERDOWN and District Community House ran its annual Family Fun Day in Apex Park last Friday.

CAMPERDOWN and District Community House ran its annual Family Fun Day in Apex Park last Friday.
This day has become a tradition over the last five years, being held during the Easter school holidays, providing fun for the whole family with activities such as outdoor games, craft activities and a barbecue fundraiser.
Community House coordinator Emily Mercer extended a “big thank you” to all of the community volunteers who helped prepare for the day and helped run activities.
“Special thanks go to Peter James and Benallack’s who made it possible for us to have a visit from the Easter Bunny,” she said.
“Thanks also goes to the Lakes and Craters Band for adding such festivity and joy to the day with its music.”
Volunteer Elizabeth Casey said it was a great day, and everyone had a wonderful time.
Between 80-100 people attended the event, with children of all ages participating in all aspects of the day.
The barbecue fundraiser raised $96.65, along with $36 from the “Easter egg guess” contest.
Ms Mercer said all funds raised would go towards supporting Community House activities for the “benefit of our members and the wider community”.
“A great day was had by all, and we look forward to holding it again next year,” she said.
The Easter raffle, which raised $539.70 for Camperdown and District Food Bank, was won by Evelyn Tucker, who received a full-size knitted and crochet blanket.
Second prize, a crochet knee blanket, went to Bob Prout.
Andrea received third prize of a crochet beanie and fingerless gloves.
Fourth prize was won by Val Gent, who took home a crochet bilby.
