Edge and Gillin win stableford

RODNEY Edge and Percy Gillin have taken out stableford rounds in their respective grades at Timboon Golf Club.

Edge finished on 45 points last Saturday to win A grade ahead of Craig Saunders on 42 and Mick Plozza on 39.

B grade went to Percy Gillin on 42 points, with Josh Folkes on 40 and Barry Cook 39.

Nearest the pins: 5th Peter Delaney, 7th Steve Plozza, 10th Rodney Edge and 14th Kevin Plozza.

Rodney Edge also won a ball for his second shot on the 11th while Franny Togni won a ball for his second shot to the 13th.

Thursday’s 12-hole Railway View Chicken Day was won by Steve Plozza with 28 points from Franny Togni on 27.

Nearest the pin was Tori Ziegelaar.

As part of this Friday’s 150 year celebrations in Timboon, a nine-hole twilight competition will be held.

Registrations will be taken from 5pm, with a 5.30pm shotgun start.

The Mogas Timboon Golf Club annual March tournament (stroke) will be held this Saturday, March 8.

A three-person ambrose can be played next Monday, with registration at 10am for a 10.30am shotgun start.
