Elderly couple hospitalised in crash
TWO people were transported to hospital following a crash in Panmure earlier this week.
The incident occurred at around 7.45pm Monday evening, on the Princes Highway.
Warrnambool Police Constable Daniel Lewis said an elderly couple were hospitalised following the incident.
“A couple in their mid-70s were involved in a single vehicle collision in Panmure,” he said.
“One was taken to Warrnambool hospital, and the other was airlifted to Melbourne.”
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the couple were conveyed to hospital in a stable condition.
“Paramedics responded to an incident in Panmure at around 7.45pm on Monday evening,” the spokesperson said.
“A male in his 70’s was airlifted to The Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
“A female in her 70's was transported by road to Warrnambool in a stable condition with upper body injuries.”
